When the lights go down
I make my way to the lake
I walk along the sandy shores
And wonder what path to take
But as I start to reach the moor
I am caught up by a toast
Then taking a hand in my own
I dance ‘round with your ghost
In the ruminants of a memory
I shall be forever lost
As I walk upon the dewy grass
That will quickly turn to frost
And in the bleak winter air
That is my warms breaths host
I strike up the band for you
And dance ‘round with your ghost
But as the light comes up
On the horizon in shades of gold
The hand clenched within my grasp
Fades away and is not mine to hold
I look to your eyes before your gone
And know that I can boast
That when the sun has set again
I’ll dance ‘round with your ghost
